Adding images to your page

Adding photos directly to your page

Click on the Photos tab on the left side options. A list of your Yearbook Photo Albums will appear - scroll down, if required, to locate your photo album.

Click into your photo album of choice. Your photos will appear on the left side pane. Scroll down if required to find the photo(s) you need to add to your page.

To add a photo to your page, drag then drop it it onto a blank part of your page. It will appear in a default frame size with resize & cropping handles on the selected photo.

Photos appear in albums with their file names displayed underneath them by default. Click on the menu icon next to the album name to display sorting and display options.

Options include to show/hide the file names, show only the photos that you uploaded, sort the photos by file name or their upload date, and to display the images in ascending (A-Z, first to last) or descending (Z-A, last to first) order.

To move back up to your albums, click on the < next to the current album.

To locate a photo using part of its filename, type into the search box. You can search all albums or only photos within a particular album.

Adding an empty image frame to your page

Launch a page in the Editor. To add an empty frame to your page, click on the image icon in the top right corner. A new image frame will appear on your page.

Adding empty frames is a way to build your own layout before adding photos to your page.

To add a photo to an empty frame, simple access photo as described above, then drag a photo to target an empty frame.

Adding a photo to the canvas background

To use a photo as the background image on your page, click directly on the photo preview in the album pane. It will automatically apply to the background of your page.  To learn more about canvas background options, click here.

Replacing a photo with a new selection

To replace a photo with another selection, drag a new photo from the album pane towards the frame. When the target frame displays a red border, drop the photo.

The new photo will replace the original photo.

Swapping photos between frames

Select two photo frames on your canvas by either dragging your mouse over both, or by holding the Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) key and clicking on each image.

When two frames are selected, the Image Tools button will appear over the page. Click on it.
Click on the Swap Images button to flip the position of the selected images.

Adding a new photo that overlaps another image frame

When a photo is dragged to the page on top an existing image frame, that frame will automatically be selected to receive the new photo. If you have used an image on your pages as a background element, you won't want the new photo to drop into the existing frame, but to overlay it.

To bypass the automatic selection of the image frame on the canvas, hold the Shift key on your keyboard while dragging the new photo - it will drop into its own image frame.
