Editors-in-Chief may review the yearbook's cover under the Admin section - choose Submit to Publisher to begin the process.
Click on the Cover tab to start the process.
Click on Create new proof to generate an online version of the cover.
Note that as soon as you send your cover to proofing, further editing is disabled in the Edit Book area.
The cover proof will generate quickly. When it is done, click on Review cover to see a large clear view of your page. (An email will also be sent to person who requested the proof to get to this page.)
The cover preview will show guideline markers for safe, bleed and spine areas, to help evaluate image and text placement. Be sure that important content is kept away from the page edges, and that backgrounds stretch right to the page edges past the red bleed zones.
You may download the cover as a pdf using the link in the top right corner, to keep a copy of it or to share the file (or print it).
Approving the cover design
After evaluating the cover, click on Approve if the page is ready to print. Mark the review as complete to return to the proofing ladder.
Your cover will be locked off from editing after it has been approved. You may choose to submit it to the publisher for final printing at this time or cancel the proof if you have changed your mind.
Rejecting the cover design
If the cover still needs work, click reject, then enter your comments to provide feedback to person editing the page. Click on Reject again to finalize your comments and return to the proofing ladder.
Once back on the proofing ladder, either return to the cover page to work on it. On the book ladder, the cover will show up as "rejected," as indicated by the red dot over the page. When the cover is opened following being rejected, your comments will appear.
Return to the Admin area's Submit to publisher to review the cover after it has been edited. Regenerate the proof as many times required until the cover is approved. It can then be submitted to your publisher for printing.
