Importance of Unique Logins

Modified on Thu, 11 Jan 2024 at 10:02 AM

For efficient and secure management of the yearbook project, it is crucial that the Editor-in-Chief promptly sets up individual user logins for each team member. Using shared logins can lead to several issues that compromise the integrity and progress of the yearbook.

Key Reasons to Avoid Shared Logins

Risk of Data Loss

  • Memento Yearbook does not support simultaneous editing of the same single page from multiple devices.
  • If a login is shared, multiple users could access the same page at the same time, leading to conflicts in versions and potential data loss.

Lack of Individual Page Assignments

  • With a shared login, it's impossible to assign specific pages or sections to individual team members.
  • This absence of individual assignments means no one is explicitly responsible for specific parts of the yearbook.

Inability to Track Progress

  • Shared logins eliminate the ability to track individual contributions.
  • It becomes unclear who has reviewed, commented, or even submitted pages for printing.

Coppa

  • Child online privacy policy may be violated since individuals (under 13 years old)  are not properly identified and did not as individuals indicate participation in COPPA rules.

If you are a team member without a unique login, it is important to contact your Editor-in-Chief and request a personal username. This step is essential for maintaining the organization and security of the yearbook project.

Ensuring each team member has a unique login is vital for the streamlined and secure creation of your yearbook with Memento Yearbook Software.
