A Reviewing and Commenting tool is available for the yearbook team to streamline and speed up the page review process during design.
IMPORTANT: This is an optional tool. If you are working alone or have a limited team, you may choose to completely ignore this tool. You have the flexibility to define your workflow, as you can still proof your review in one pass when you submit to the publisher. We recommend using this tool when you have staff users, as it can make the entire yearbook process smoother. However, you are the best judge of whether it fits your needs.
Pages submitted for review can only be approved by the Editor-in-Chief or an Editor.
Submitting Page for Review
When a team member completes a page, they should submit the page for an Editor-in-Chief or Editor to review.
To send a page to review, hover over it to access the ... icon in the upper right corner of the page. Click on Submit page for review.
Optionally add comments for the Editor-in-Chief or Editor. For example, let them know that you followed a suggestion or made a requested correction. Click on Submit page for review.
A blue page indicator will appear above this page, to notify everyone that this page is ready to be reviewed. This page is no longer available for editing until the review process has been completed.
Reviewing a page
After a team member has submitted a page for review, an Editor-in-Chief or an Editor can approve or reject the page.
To review the page, hover over it, then click on the Review button.
The page will appear in a larger view. If the Editor-in-Chief or Editor approves the page, no comment is needed, but if the page is rejected, they need to write a comment as to why it was rejected.
Approved pages will show up with an orange page indicator. They are no longer editable, and are now at the proofing stage which is the final step before printing.
Rejecting pages will show up with a red-x page indicator.
Viewing comments on a page
To view page comments, hover over the page, access the ... icon in the upper right corner of the page, and choose View comments.
